The company VB Football Assets owns a considerable block of shares of England’s football club Blackpool Upon purchase of the club in 2006 it was playing in the third strongest league of England (Coca-Cola Football League 1) with the objective to enter Barclay’s Premier League. The first important step in order to achieve this goal was to enter the English League Championship (The Coca-Cola Football League Championship) in 2007.

In 2010, at the finals of English Championship (The Coca-Cola Football League Championship) Blackpool surpassed „Cardiff City” and penetrated to the Premier league after 39 years of waiting. In the season of 2010/2011 it will match forces with the country’s best teams.

Blackpool Club has an extremely rich history. It was founded in 1877, has won the English Club, and has been the country’s vice-champion. The legendary Sir Stanley Matthews, the winner of the “Golden Ball” (Europe’s best footballer), has also played for Blackpool Club.
